Understanding sections and fields

How your pages are structured

Your site's pages are made up of sections and fields. Understanding this structure makes it easier to find and edit the right content.

Sections

A section is a distinct block on a page — for example, a Hero banner, an About block, or a Contact form. Each page has multiple sections.

Fields

Each section contains fields — the individual pieces of content inside it. Common field types include:

  • Text — headings, body copy, button labels
  • Image — photos and graphics
  • Link — URLs for buttons and navigation
  • Rich text — formatted paragraphs with bold, italics, and lists

What you can and can't change

You can edit the content within fields freely. The structure of sections — how many there are, what fields they contain, and how they look — is part of your site's design and is managed by the Parrot Logic team.
