What does "unpublished changes" mean?

Unpublished changes

When you see an Unpublished changes notice in your admin panel, it means you have saved edits that haven't been pushed to your live site yet.

How it works

  • Edits you make in the admin panel are saved immediately as drafts
  • Your live site only updates when you click Publish
  • The Unpublished changes indicator tells you the two are out of sync

Why is this useful?

This lets you make multiple changes across different pages and content items, then push them all live at once when you're ready — rather than each edit going live immediately.

How to clear it

Click Publish in the top navigation. Once the publish completes, the indicator will disappear and your live site will reflect all your recent changes.

See How to publish your site for the full publishing steps.
